We are growing and looking to add a full time Maintenance Technician to join our team in the New Prague area!

In this hands on position, you'll be responsible for maintaining the physical asset of our properties in New Prague, Lonsdale, and Farmington. Day-to-day tasks include, but are not limited to, building systems maintenance, apartment repairs and reconditioning, painting, minor plumbing and electrical, along with grounds care and snow removal as needed. Great customer service is a must as you will work daily with our residents and property owners.

Main Job Tasks &Responsibilities

• Perform highly diversified duties relating to all aspects of maintenance
• Schedule and complete preventive maintenance
• Monitor and maintain all building systems as assigned
• Inspect units and overall property condition
• Minor plumbing - fixture replacement, drain snaking, leak repairs, etc.
• Basic electric-fixture and device replacements, basic troubleshooting
• Turnover unit painting when needed
• Maintain landscaping and grounds
• Complete resident work orders promptly
• Maintain inventory for cost effective operations
• Complete “make ready” process of vacant apartments
• Travel to additional properties as needed
• Snow removal and lawncare as needed
• Coordinate and oversee contractors
• Ensure repairs are within established expense limits
• Carry a cell phone for on-call maintenance including after-hour emergency calls
• Record detailed maintenance logs
• Submit receipts, timesheets, and mileage in timely manner
• Maintain professional courteous manner with all residents, contractor, and fellow employees
• Perform all work related activities in a fair, ethical, and consistent manner
• Comply with safety regulations and maintain a clean and orderly work area

Requirements:

• Demonstrated maintenance or repair experience
• Current boiler license or willing to obtain
• Knowledge of computer and software applications
• Excellent organization and time management skills
• Ability to handle confidential information
• Must be willing to travel to other properties in the area as needed
• Must have a valid driver's license
• Ability to pass a criminal background check
