Role Summary
Conduct maintenance duties including set-up, installation, fabrication and repair to maintain building and equipment under guidance of the Lead Maintenance Technician. May provide training and/or supervise less experienced staff.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and direct the Company health and safety objectives and support the company’s health and safety directives to provide a safe and healthful workplace for all employees, this includes:
o Establishing plant-wide measurable and goals that meet or exceed industry standards, and are monitored, tracked and audited on a regular basis and communicated to employees.
o Recognition of accomplishments/milestone in the areas of safety, environmental, ergonomics and employee wellness.
o Development of effective programs that increase employee awareness and involvement in the areas of safety, environmental, ergonomics and employee wellness.
o Accountability of supervisors for enforcing safety rules and implementing the necessary training and corrective actions to ensure proper focus on established objectives.
- Utilize Total Preventative Maintenance principals to perform required preventative maintenance for building and all manufacturing equipment in the DS FEM facility.
- Oversee installation of new equipment by contractors as required.
- Perform daily start-up and shutdown procedures.
- Repair any manufacturing equipment in the event of failure.
- Assist in maintaining a spare parts inventory for all manufacturing equipment in the DS FEM facility.
- Perform necessary in-house projects. Keep an up-to-date log of the timing of these projects.
- Identify and correct any safety issues inside the AIM Systems facility.
- Maintain inter-shift communication by logging shift notes in Communication Log on a daily basis.
- Perform the requirements of this position in such a way that will maximize the return to the Decoma shareholders, while maintaining the ethical business practices.
- Follow company policies and business objectives in the daily management of facility operations.
Key Qualifications/Requirements
- Associates degree in a relate field, or equivalent combination of education and work experience
- Minimum of 5 years maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment
- Extensive knowledge of programmable logic controls
- Experience with six axis robotics
