Edgewood Estates is a family owned mobile home community in Fort Wayne, Indiana. With over 350 units, we are searching for a FULL TIME maintenance technician to help give our tenants a great place to live! This job will require at the very least a general knowledge of carpentry and plumbing. Experience with general construction or electric is a huge plus! If you are a self starter looking for a job that offers different tasks daily, takes pride in their work, and enjoys working with their hands this job is for you!

Requirements:

• Valid Drivers license
• Cell Phone
• Reliable Transportation
• Must be able to pass background check
• Ability to work 40 hours per week
• Ability to work alone or with others

Preferred Skills:

• Carpentry
• Plumbing
• Laying Flooring
• Experience with an assortment of tools
• Strong work ethic
• Ability to problem solve
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment
• Written & Verbal communication (With staff & tenants)
• Ability to drive truck and trailer
• General knowledge of AC/Furnace Issues
• After hours availability (Not required)

Jobs/Tasks to expect:

• Plumbing (Leaks / Clogs, Tub / Shower installation)
• Loose or broken doorknobs, cabinet faces, interior/exterior door installations
• Appliance repair / replacement
• Clean outs (Gathering and dumping trash or debris left when tenant moves out)
• Subfloor repair / replacement
• Siding repair
• Carpentry (Hanging doors, fixing cabinets, repairing steps, etc.)
• Working in tight spaces (under homes/ crawlspaces)
