Northrop Grumman Strategic Deterrent Systems Division is seeking a Business Management Manager 3 to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in our Roy, Utah office and support our Advanced Programs Business unit and our NC3 Campaign.
This position’s standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.
We are seeking a highly qualified, effective leader to influence and enable the strategic direction of our Strategic Deterrent Systems (SDS) Division. In this role, the Business Management Manager 3 will have accountability for all aspects of Business Management / Finance functions while managing and advancing a geographically distributed team of analysts responsible for delivering the full spectrum of Business and Finance support and services to include Program Planning and Control, Monthly/Quarterly Financial Planning, Analysis and Reporting, Proposal Development and Delivery, AOP/LRSP planning, Investment (NCTA, CapEx, and Other) Administration, and Rate Segment Base and Pool Expense Foreasting and Administration. This includes providing appropriate staff, training, process, infrastructure and oversight to the teams of analysts as required to support the objectives of the Business Unit and Division.
In addition to managing employee staffing, training and development, this individual is responsible for direct interface with Division Controller and CFO and will be accountable for accurate and timely forecast updates. The successful candidate will partner across Division and Sector boundaries to ensure NC3 campaign alignment with company objectives.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Overseeing the Advanced Programs Business Unit and NC3 Campaign Business Management and Finance staffing, resources, tools, and training as needed
Engage with business unit leadership to deliver predictable financial outcomes in support of monthly, quarterly and annual business rhythms
Leadership in the development of strategies and business case analyses in support of new growth opportunities and objectives; to include development of winning proposals
Establish strategic relationships both internally with business unit, division, and sector leadership, and externally, with government counterparts
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Pricing and Estimating, STEM or related discipline with 8 years of experience in Business Management, Program Control or Finance disciplines -OR- Master’s Degree in Finance, Business, Pricing and Estimating, STEM or related discipline with 6 years of experience in Business Management, Program Control or Finance disciplines
Proven ability to evaluate, integrate, and communicate financial forecasts, impacts, cost issues and risks to senior and executive leadership
Experience managing direct reports or proven ability to lead teams on complex projects through completion
Must have thorough understanding of and demonstrated successful outcomes in competitive acquisitions
Demonstrated experience developing proposals with significant suppliers and/or Inter-Organizational content across various contract types (e.g. CPIF, CPAF, CPFF, FFP, etc.) and of varying sizes.
Active DoD Top Secret clearance, with ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI Clearance. US citizenship is a prerequisite.
Preferred Qualifications:
Persistence to meet deadlines in a challenging, multi-tasking environment.
Working knowledge of Financial Forecasting process and tools (e.g. COGNOS, HFM, etc.)
Experience in a Business Development and/or Strategy Development role
Experience with supporting the development of customer shaping strategies and competitive positioning including Price to Win and maximizing investment leverage into winning proposals
Experience with Strategic Missiles or Other Strategic Weapons Systems
Active TS/SCI Clearance. US citizenship is a prerequisite.
