ROLE SUMMARY
The Digital Manufacturing Team is responsible for the delivery of Pfizer’s Core Digital Manufacturing Operations Management (MoM) capabilities at every level of the Pfizer Global Supply (PGS) Plant Network (ISA 95 Levels 0-4). These solutions are critical to Manufacturing & Lab Execution, Manufacturing Process Intelligence and Production Optimization that aim to improve product quality, increase asset utilization/uptime, automate manual workflows, and streamline plant floor operations. The Digital Manufacturing vision is to “Simplify processes and experiences to drive PGS outcomes”.
The Manufacturing 4.0 Team supports all of Pfizer’s Core Manufacturing & Engineering Solutions, while enabling a secure, seamless flow of contextualized data from the device & control levels, all the way to the top of the Enterprise. The Manager, Solution Engineering plays a key role in delivering the future of Advanced Manufacturing Capabilities within the Digital Manufacturing Organization. The colleague will be responsible for creating solutions that execute, monitor, and enhance the manufacturing and warehouse management processes, while implementing cutting edge technology to augment and immerse shop floor colleagues with the insights they need to increase productivity and simplify their overall experience. You will be part of an exciting team that delivers best in industry solutions across Manufacturing.
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
The Manager, Solution Engineering colleague’s responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Work with Business teams and stakeholders to lead strategic planning and technology selection for connected plant Systems.
- Design & Architect Integration solutions for on-premises, cloud, and hybrid landscapes.
- Collaborate with Cross-functional teams and cloud infrastructure teams in defining the specifications and provisioning necessary H/W and software components.
- Design, and implement technology architecture according to industry 4.0 trends and best-in-class standards to enhance and streamline Manufacturing Operations processes for efficiency and productivity gains.
- Develop procedures in integration of software components for correct functionality.
- Assessing current system architecture in place and recommend solutions for enhancements.
- Lead and build data migration projects as needed for conversions of data from different sources
- Lead Proof of concept projects to validate proposed solutions.
- Liaise with cross-functional agile product owner teams, vendors to support defining long term program technical roadmaps and strategies
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 5+ years’ experience in architecture ,engineering related role, such as Design, software development, systems engineer, data Integrations. etc
- Experience with database & cloud technologies (Oracle, SQL Server, AWS RDS etc )
- Understanding of core AWS Services, Architecture, and Best Practices
- Experience with query languages PL/SQL, SQL and Python scripting .etc.
- Experience with Data exchange protocols and web services.
- knowledge of Net, Java, Xml, Jason and Unix/Linux/Windows Operating systems
- Good understanding in all lifecycle phases of managing SaaS/cloud-based solutions.
- Good understanding of DeltaV and/or Distributed Control System (DCS) is preferred.
- Good knowledge of factory automation systems (PLCs/HMI/SCADA)
- Good knowledge of OPC solutions
- Knowledge of OSI products such as PIAF/EF
PREFFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Knowledge in web-based and mobile application technologies and concepts
- Experience with Atlassian products (Jira, Confluence), GitHub, Amazon Web Services (AWS), and cloud applications.
- Knowledge in data quality and data migration experience including data analysis and conversion planning for data migration activities.
- Knowledge in Data integration/streaming tools such as MuleSoft, Kafka, MQ services.
- Knowledge in SAFe Agile principles and able to coach/lead software engineers in this framework.
- Knowledge of cGMP regulations and processes
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with ability to establish relationships, coach others, and influence decisions
