Primary Function:
The Manager, Supply Chain Planning (Distribution & Field) will be responsible for inventory management and optimization of the Same Unit Repair (SUR) program. This program includes 180+ Remote Tech Service Providers, 7020+ UBIF Store Locations, 150+ AT&T Stores, and 3 key distribution facilities. The position will be responsible for setting the appropriate inventory stocking levels across various parts & tools, clients, distribution channels, and locations to ensure that key metrics are maximized while minimizing Excess & Obsolescence exposure. The manager role will oversee key metrics such as Service Levels, Parts availability, Days on Hand (DOH), and In-Stock % while providing recommendations to the business on stocking strategies that accomplish program specific goals. The role is also key in assisting in the development of future technology to allow for optimized inventory distribution and returns.
The Manager will directly interact with internal parties and cross-functional teams to review inventory levels, manage and recommend changes to the stocking strategy, drive successful new model launches, and communicate/forecast purchase needs for parts and tools to the appropriate teams. The position will lead the effort to move aspects of the SUR Planning Process into new or existing Supply Chain Planning Solutions to eliminate manual/redundant tasks and work with our analytical groups to ensure that appropriate data is available to make data driven decisions.
The Manager will be responsible for leading and developing a team of analysts and sr. analysts which will support in the above efforts. The position will help identify, implement, and support short and long-term strategic direction for the SUR program and for the given set of clients and technology platforms (Microsoft Dynamics, Service Bench, Front End Systems). The Manager will be responsible for creating and promoting synergy among all operational groups of the global supply chain by building and maintaining relationships with cross-functional teams and by influencing the SCM senior staff to ensure departmental results are delivered in accordance with the Supply Chain Planning strategic plan and Company Core Values.
This individual must have a successful track record of driving improvements across the supply chain and executing upon client initiatives.

Duties/Responsibilities:
Lead a team that manages the target inventory levels for all SKUs deployed at all stocking locations in the field for SUR programs to ensure that Program Specific KPI and Metrics are achieved, while optimizing inventory DOH at these locations- Ensure that replenishment processes are appropriately moving inventory across the Asurion network in a time and cost effective manner
- Devise short and long range plans and develop, maintain and improve upon best in class performance in inventory turns/levels, service levels, and mitigate Excess &Obsolete expense for inventory deployed to the field
- Assist in the development, implementation, and management of strategic systematic planning processes and systems to support a high sku and location count
- Lead development and refresh of Annual Operating Plan as it pertains to the group of clients supported
- Deliver analysis and data on supply chain performance (for planning and procurement – inventory levels, equipment costs, etc.)
- Lead and influence in a highly matrixed environment and have significant interaction with functional teams such as Procurement, Client Services, Risk Management, Finance, Legal, and Operations
- Build and maintain collaboration and communication channels among all cross-functional groups within the supply chain through information sharing, thought leadership, and tactical and strategic planning
- Monitor KPIs at each point in the supply chain and distribution center location and devise strategies and operational metrics to align against which will minimize E&O while fulfilling customer requirements.
- Define and implement standard planning processes for the group of clients into our Supply Chain Planning Software

Knowledge/Skill Requirements:
4-5 years of relevant experience, preferably in Supply Chain management, Program Management or global procurement or planning- B.A. or B.S. in Supply Chain Management, Business, or other technical/mathematical field
- Excellent communication, presentation, analytical and organizational skills. Able to influence at multiple levels of the organization
- Proven self-starter; proactive
- Technically proficient with various business software programs (i.e. Excel, PowerPoint, Word, SQL, etc.)
- Ability to research and develop a clear understanding of all processes and procedures related to Supply Chain Management
