Meta’s Small Business Group is looking for the highest calibre of leader to head the organization’s diverse, high performing EMEA operation. The Small Business Group (SBG) contributes directly to Meta’s mission by connecting every small business in the world with their customers on Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp and Messenger, and then helping them grow through solutions like pages, advertising, messaging, commerce and many other tools. We succeed when we help our customers grow their business. The Small Business Group at Meta is one of two sales channels responsible for Meta’s multi-billion dollar advertising business. Our Small Business Team helps more than 99% of Meta’s 10 million plus advertisers, and our potential business is even larger with more than 200 million businesses using our free tools to connect with customers.As Regional Managing Director you will lead the business and commercial strategy as well as sales operations for SBG in the EMEA region, and be responsible for leading the team that manages a portfolio of outsourced sales programs that meet the needs of millions of small business advertisers at scale. You will have experience contributing to a global leadership team and lending regional perspective to cross-functional sales, marketing and measurement strategies as well as leading in-region execution and optimisations. You will be responsible for working collaboratively with your team, cross-functional partners and call centre leadership to continuously optimise sales program strategy, sales activation and effectiveness in order to hit aggressive regional revenue targets. Additionally, you will run SBG’s EMEA business operations - and collaborate closely with Business Planning & Operations and Global Outsourcing team on annual budgets, headcount allocations in call centres, workforce management and vendor expansion strategies to ensure that cost of revenue targets are met as the operation continues to expand. As small businesses continue to drive Meta’s growth, you must not only deliver operationally at scale - but own the sales strategy, customer experience, go to market strategy and voice of the customer in their region. You will play a key role in leading understanding and insights of the regional advertiser - applying learnings to improve the sales experience, make changes to the business and ensuring their interests and needs are understood by the Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp and Messenger product teams. This role must represent SBG in a variety of internal and external forums, driving the long term strategic direction of the region, co-creating with cross functional leaders and peers on innovation and continuing to transform the program portfolio to drive outcomes for customers.You will also play a key role with the regional EMEA Meta leadership team, partnering closely with the Large Customer Sales, Policy and Communications senior leaders representing small business interests as well as serving as the external face for Small Business through speaking engagements, events and press. Success in this role requires inspirational team leadership capabilities, experience working in a matrixed global organisation and proven expertise driving change in a hyper growth environment.This is a full time position based in our Dublin, Ireland or London, UK office and reporting to the Global VP of Small Business Sales. - Owns regional revenue, revenue uplift and ROI goals for a portfolio of outsourced sales programs targeting Meta’s small business advertisers
- Manages and develops Senior Managers, and leads team of high performing team of regional Sales Managers in EMEA
- Represents SBG internally and externally as most senior in-region leader
- Oversees multiple third-party owned call center operations and 1500+ Marketing Pros
- Proactively collaborates with regional peers, global leadership and senior cross-functional teams to inform development of global and regional business strategies and programs. Shares best practices proactively
- Leads regional development, execution and optimization of a variety of advertiser sales and onboarding programs
- Oversees business operations in-region to ensure profitable business expansion and continuously build and evolve sales capabilities within the team as well as operational excellence with our partners
- Provides global and regional thought leadership to ensure company business objectives are achieved through the right shared goals and aligned roadmaps
- Champions voice of the customer in regional, SBG and Meta-wide forums
- Accelerate testing, learning and innovation in region tailored to global and regional needs
Minimum Qualifications:
- Significant experience in sales, marketing, online advertising, consulting, agency, design or product/program management with a strong understanding of the digital advertising ecosystem
- Extensive people management experience, leading and inspiring others in geographically distributed teams working in hybrid environments
- Strong passion for diversity, equity and inclusion
- Significant experience in process management, operations management, understanding how to grow and scale businesses in hyper dynamic environments
- Experience working in a matrixed global organisation, collaborating with cross-functional groups to produce meaningful results
- Strong analytical skills and process mgmt. skills, high attention to detail and rigor, can-do attitude, and desire to learn
