Main Responsibilities
- Collaborate and assist key stakeholders across the business in determining key research projects to secure market and customer insights to support brand, retention, and acquisition strategies.
- Manage and deploy the expertise of a panel of research agencies to use best in class research methodologies to secure insights in an efficient and cost-effective manner.
- Drive an insight-led action plan to enhance customer experiences.
- Create differentiation for all brands within the Group portfolio.
- Review customer journeys and positively challenge existing processes to improve the overall customer experience.
- Identify customer pain-points from analysis of customer journeys, research, and Voice of Customer channels, and liaise with internal business owners to identify and assign “pain-points”, tracking these through to resolution, to improve the overall customer experience.
- Gather and statistically analyse market and customer data from surveys to help develop strategic plans for key market segments
- Manage research budget and productive business relationships with research partners.
- Analyse and report both on competitor and market activity and on broader societal and cultural trends impacting on the business.
- Facilitate market research requested from Customer Solutions, ESB Corporate, Strategy & Innovation and Engineering & Major Projects.
- Deliver impactful presentations, answering questions and instilling confidence in the audience of stakeholders.
- Actively contribute to enhance productivity and expertise in the Strategic Marketing and Insights team and the wider Marketing and Customer Insights team.
Key Requirements
- Either 3rd level qualification or equivalent work experience is essential.
- 2+ years’ experience working in a market and customer research position or related field.
- Fully proficient in Microsoft PowerPoint, Word and Excel.
- You have excellent writing, analytical and reporting skills with the ability to absorb and interpret data and information to draw insights and inform future business decisions.
- You will have a detailed knowledge of both quantitative and qualitative research techniques.
- Exceptional written, oral and presentation communication abilities
- High levels of enthusiasm, commitment, and a proven ability to collaborate and engage with stakeholders.
