Job description

Generation Capital Management is seeking assistance with our marketing efforts. We are looking for a candidate with a background in graphic design and/or marketing to help us improve our brand language and social media presence.

This role will work closely with our financial planner who is currently handling social media for the company. Written copy and content will be created by the financial planner, so knowledge of the financial services industry is not required.

Duties of this position will include:

• Moving our social media calendar through our internal approval process
• Creating graphics for our social media posts
• Editing and uploading videos to our YouTube channel
• Making recommendations on how to optimize social media visibility
• Making recommendations on how to improve video and social media content
• Additional duties that may arise (agreed to between GCM and the hired individual at that time)

This is a contractor/part-time roll. We expect to need about 10 hours per week from the individual in this position. Timing will be flexible but we will need availability the first working day of each week.

Remote work is perfectly fine but we would prefer someone with whom we can meet in person in Rochester, NY on a monthly basis.

Required qualifications:

• Experience with graphic design (classwork, work experience, or personal interest)
• Design portfolio for us to review or letters of recommendation (we will review all materials you are willing to provide)
• Comfort with helping us improve our marketing efforts

Optional qualifications:

• Degree or classwork in marketing or graphic design
• Experience editing videos
• Experience with HubSpot and Squarespace (or general website design work)
• Experience working in collaborative environments
