MARKETING ASSISTANT
DEPARTMENT: Operations JOB STATUS: Part Time – 20 hrs./week maximum
FLSA STATUS: Non-Exempt REPORTS TO: Executive Director/Assistant Director
WORK SCHEDULE: Mon.-Fri. 8:30 AM-12:30 PM & as required

POSITION SUMMARY
The Marketing Assistant collaborates with the Assistant Director and Program Coordinator to create marketing materials such as the monthly newsletter, flyers, social media posts, website maintenance and emails to promote the center and its programs and activities. The Marketing Assistant will capture photographs of WH programs to create engaging promotional materials to be used in various media.

Essential Functions Statement(s)
- Creates marketing content including flyers, social media posts, emails, and newsletters.
- Monitors social media accounts, creating content & responding to messages.
- Compiles data and analyzes surveys.
- Updates and maintains Windy Hill website.
- Works closely with Assistant Director and Program Coordinator to gather information and create timelines for marketing content.
- Creates graphics for content.
- Attends Marketing Committee meetings.
- Assists with organization of marketing events.
- Attends events when available and takes photos to use for marketing.
- Act as a backup to other job roles as needed.
- Performs all other duties as assigned or needed.

SKILLS & ABILITIES
- Education: High School Diploma, BS in Marketing, Business or relevant field preferred
- Experience: Coursework related to field and/or 3+ years of marketing experience
- Computer Skills: Intermediate personal computer skills including electronic mail, word processing, spreadsheet, graphics, etc. Strong working knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint & Publisher), Canva and Constant Contact. Ability to master internal computer systems which include Copilot.
