About the position:
We are currently seeking a Marketing Manager to join our growing marketing team in Arup’s West Geography. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is inspired by the built environment and wants to grow in a fast-paced environment that values innovation, creativity, sustainable development, and digital skills. This is a strategic role with responsibility for proposal direction and content; communication of Arup’s values in the creation, organization, and maintenance of marketing collateral; and contribution to a variety of marketing activities. Our Marketing Manager can be based in our Los Angeles, San Francisco, Seattle, or Oakland offices.
Responsibilities:
- Participate in capture planning strategy sessions and assist with client and market-focused research activities.
- Participate in go/no-go discussions to help the leadership team make well-informed and strategic decisions.
- Collaborate closely with leadership to develop client-focused winning strategies for proposals and statements of qualifications to successfully capture work.
- Lead the preparation of competitive proposals, qualification packages and, interview presentations.
- Collaborate with design teams on pre-interview planning and presentation rehearsal, and assist in developing and implementing the established win strategy, themes, and discriminators in presentation materials.
- Oversight of marketing collateral, such as presentations, brochures, project sheets, and resumes.
- Maintain quality, accuracy, consistency of graphic standards to ensure a cohesive and recognizable brand identity.
- Maintain CRM and Share Point databases.
- Supervise and mentor junior marketing team members to develop their skills and knowledge, as well as ensure that AEC marketing best practices are being followed.
Desired Qualifications:
- Must have strong communication, writing, and organizational skills.
- 7-10 years of experience (preferably in the A/E/C industry).
- Experience with large-scale prime proposals.
- Involvement with local A/E/C organizations a plus.
- Must have bachelor’s degree, preferably with an emphasis in English or Marketing.
- Must be confident, self-motivated, independent, and proactive.
- Need to have energetic, positive attitude, with proven ability to juggle/respond to multiple deadlines under pressure.
- Experienced in the following computer applications: Adobe Creative Suite, MS Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
San Francisco Hiring Range - The good faith base salary hiring range for this job if performed in San Francisco is $99K-$133K per year. Benefits are not included in the base salary. Please note hiring ranges for candidates performing work outside of San Francisco will differ.
