As one of Ireland’s most exquisite national treasures, when you arrive at Carton House you enter a place rich with over three centuries of history. Originally the home of the influential and aristocratic Fitzgerald family, its history is as dramatic and storied as that of our nation itself; rich in art, culture, romance and politics, echoes of which can be felt as you walk its halls today.

We currently have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Marketing Manager to join ourCommercial team here at Carton House.

Key Responsibilities:

• Create the marketing strategy and Marketing road map for Fairmont Carton House with the Commercial Director
• Assist with the implementation of the annual marketing plan including various outlet campaigns.
• Create and roll out the digital strategy for the hotel
• Work with relevant agencies (PR, Digital, Advertising) to execute campaigns.
• Management of website content and marketing collateral.
• Social media management.
• Become brand champion in the hotel
• Help research and organise on-site events. (media, press trips, photoshoots)
• Provide analytics and insight on all marketing activities.
• Assist in the compilation of annual marketing budgets.
• Contribute to the strategic planning to drive forward agreed marketing objectives
• Support the Commercial Director on other key projects
• Graphic Design Create and design templates or promotions in Canva
• Ensure all collateral is on brand for each outlet, F&B, Spa and Golf
• Work closely with the Accor/Fairmont Marketing teams

The successful candidate will have:

• 2-3 years’ experience in a similar role
• 1-2 years’ experience of managing a team in the hospitality sector
• Degree in marketing or related discipline.
• Knowledge of Canva or similar for creating online and offline collateral.
• Strong Digital and Graphic design skills.
• Pleasant, tactful and approachable personality.
• A confident and mature approach is essential.
• Flexibility - this role may require a degree of evening/weekend work on occasion
• Strong time management and effective organisational skills, with the ability to think laterally, work under pressure and achieve work deadlines in an environment of competing priorities.
• Strong interpersonal communication skills, including the ability to interact effectively with people of all disciplines.
• Demonstrated high-level computer literacy skills, word processing packages and various computer applications.
