Overview:
The Marketing Specialist - Project Management specializes in planning, managing and executing projects with cross-functional teams for each season. They identify all of the tasks within the scope of a project and strategically delegate those tasks to the appropriate team members. Project managers are the glue that helps keep projects — and people — together. They are responsible for planning, organizing, managing and executing projects from beginning to end. The project scope can vary from single pieces of collateral to multifaceted, multichannel marketing campaigns.

A Day in the Life
Follow up with channel strategy and creative teams to resolve any project delays to keep projects on time

Responsible for daily review of project deadlines and status

Facilitate the preparation and deliverables with attendees to ensure adherence to deadlines for each Monthly Kick Off

Updates to daily schedules as deemed necessary to keep projects on time

Attend project kick off meetings as necessary

Updating and close out completed projects in project management system

Review all routes post channel strategy teams to ensure direction is clear and actionable for creative teams

Works with necessary liaisons for product, promotions, legal counsel and production clarity for each project

Job Updates – timelines, teams

Problem-solve: manage routing feedback & ensure timely resolution of issues

Communication across all channels

Milestone Management
Manage Cross-Channel communication to ensure development of all strategies and concepts are finalized and ready for execution hand off

Prep and manage Marketing Weekly Status Meetings

Ensure Adherence to deadlines for Monthly Kick Off’s

Routing
Scheduling materials for Internal Route Mtgs (weekly creative reviews)

Ownership of sending internal and external routes to team members within other departments for review

Extracurricular
Project management system maintenance and training

Hot, ad-hoc job management of various miscellaneous jobs (i.e. digital, emails, signage)

Weekly touch base with Project management/traffic team

Misc. jobs and tasks as assigned

Weekly TYLY report update and execution

Distribution of necessary scheduling reports/tools

Serves as back up when needed for Marketing Operations team

Work Experience and Education Requirements:
4-year college degree in Marketing or equivalent work experience

3-5 years marketing experience; prior experience with Marketing Project Management preferred.

Computer proficiency, preferably some Macintosh experience

Experience with InDesign, Adobe Creative Suite

Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Expected to lead people and teams under tight deadlines

Deadline and goal-oriented as well as flexible

Experience in workflow management systems a plus
