Responsibilities:

THE ROLE:

The Channel Marketing/Program Manager role entails co-developing programs and narratives that align the channel partner benefits and differentiation with AMD’s initiative; as well as, working with the Partner Alliance and Sales teams to support marketing and sales programs for both AMD and channel partner stakeholders/sellers. Candidate will evangelize AMD technology and work the channel sales and marketing teams to build the appropriate commercial vertical marketing plans to support commercial sales through broad channel-resellers, managed service providers (MSP) and global system integrators (GSI).

THE PERSON:

The ideal candidate will possess a breadth of abilities and skills, including CPU product knowledge, server architecture awareness, strong marketing and presentation skills, solid understanding of channel partner business and decision makers, and strong team leadership to drive progress on each partner. You are contributing to strategy, setting direction, and achieving success in all facets.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Build and nurture strong relationships with our channel partners and enable them on AMD value prop and key messages.
  • Partner Marketing, Campaigns, and Events - high-impact, joint marketing campaigns with channel partners in the top tiers of the partner programs at Lenovo, HPE, Dell, VmWare, etc.
  • Partner with Sales, Campaigns, content and Marketing teams to highlight customer success in our content, campaigns, and events in the creation of compelling and innovative thought leadership and sales content (e.g. case studies, white papers, data sheets, blog posts, customer presentations, FAQs, etc.) to accelerate customer and industry awareness, and adoption of AMD based solutions.
  • Work with program, product and regional marketing teams to integrate with global campaign strategies that rapidly create awareness and fuel pipeline by building consensus, alignment, and engagement across the Product, Sales, and Marketing teams.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert to enable the sales team to effectively understand the customer buying journey and articulate the value of AMD based solutions to prospect.

A Successful candidate will demonstrate:

  • Senior program manager level skills to manage multiple projects with tight deadlines effectively.
  • Technical acumen and ability to partner with product and engineering to understand product capabilities and translate those into materials relevant to channel opportunities.
  • Dynamic, confident personality with the ability to strategically craft and drive project execution with limited guidance amidst multiple shifting priorities and goals.
  • Creative thinker that can generate innovative marketing ideas, work collaboratively, and lead a cross-functional team of stakeholders to drive execution.
  • Strong communication, presentation, writing, and analytical skills.
  • Willingness to work well cross-functionally with IT Pros, corporate marketing, and Business Decision Makers
  • Proven track record in performing well in a fast-paced environment.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.

  • 8+ years of experience in enterprise server marketing, product management, ecosystem development, or customer engagement/business development at a high-tech company.
  • Strong program management and organizational operations abilities.
  • Channel partner enabling and/or marketing experience.
  • Experience working with direct distribution (sales) teams and managed service providers (MSP) or global system integrators (GSI).
  • Hands-on experience developing content and program strategies and creating a range of joint GTM activities.

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or engineering
