Summary
Follow established procedures and support the daily materials related operations of Spaulding Rehabilitation Network (SRN). Will perform activities associated with linen, equipment, supply, mail, receiving and distribution. Represent the department in a positive and professional manner. Maintain record of assignments, service request and delivery verification.
Key Responsibilities
- Equipment is delivered, retrieved, and tracked per department guidelines.
- Equipment is cleaned and serviced to ensure compliance with SMDA and JCAHO regulations.
- Medical surgical supply program is supported for designated patient care areas per established guidelines.
- Supply, linen, and equipment emergency requests are responded to within established timeframes.
- Linen program is supported to meet established objectives.
- Mail service support is provided per stated expectations.
- Additional department, organization, or network activities are completed per established objectives.

- As appropriate to your job function, you may have unsupervised access to non-controlled substances. At no time are you to open packaging, break or remove any security seals or remove from storage (unless related to your specific job function) any non-controlled substances. Removal, transport or handling of non-controlled substances outside of your specific job may result in disciplinary action, including termination.
Qualifications and Experience
Education/Degree
Required
- High School Graduate or GED required.
Skills (Specific learned activity gained through training (e.g. computer skills, keyboarding, presentation, CPR, ACLS, etc.)
Required
- Ability to read, write and speak English required.
- Computer proficiency required. Microsoft office applications preferred with ability to learn new software.
Preferred
- Highly developed communications and interpersonal skills, working with diverse population.
- Work independently, be self-directed and contribute as a member of a team.
- Anticipates challenges and develops and implements strategies for addressing them.
- High level of service delivery. Demonstrate initiative with ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines and adapt to changing situations.
- Attention to detail.
