Summary of Responsibilities:
The principal duty of this position is to provide leadership support to the MECoE Gate 2 team and ensure smooth and efficient operations. This position will require high level practical application of technical knowledge. Excellent interpersonal, planning and organizational skills are needed for a team-oriented work environment. This position requires a mechanical and technical aptitude and an ability to follow work instructions. Align with all environmental, health, and safety requirement.
Essential Functions:

- Monitor and ensure processes meet Company objectives, goals and targets
- You will direct material flow through proper channels
- Perform module interface inspections and disposition
- First point of contact for BX, CX, Materials, Engineering, Customer Service & Quality respectively
- You will monitor/Ensure discrepancies and material holds are dispositioned appropriately and timely
- You will ensure close out and forward required work scopes and package requirements to Records
- You are expected to encourage, support and facilitate the training and development of other inspectors/mechanics
- Demonstrates commitment to the business support functions (EH&S, HR, ACE, ITC, Quality, etc.) by following all policies and procedures, completing all required training on-time, every time, supporting all applicable committee activities, participating and implementing continuous improvement initiatives and projects
- You will coordinate with shift supervisors to ensure production goals and objectives are discussed and met on a day-to-day, shift-to-shift basis
- You will visually and dimensionally inspect individual engine parts, verification of fits and assembly processes. Demonstrate ability to troubleshoot and resolve any problem that may arise during these activities
- FAA Safety Sensitive Position
- Willing to work all shifts
- You have the ability to build and maintain positive working relationships
- You are expected to perform all tasks at the highest level of safety awareness
Preferred Qualifications:
- 6 plus years of relevant experience: 4 plus technical working experience in aviation, manufacturing or warehouse and/or education to include currently attending, and leadership experience.
- Relevant experience includes but is not limited to leadership experience, interpersonal skills, personal attributes, etc.
- Possess or obtain an inspection stamp within the next 12 consecutive months (from start date in Working Lead role)
- PC Skills, including word processing, spreadsheet and graphics software preferred
- Planning and organization skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills including strong communication
- Proficiency in DIVEs, QCPC, and CORE.
- Completed all CORE Associate Level online courses, participated in at least one CORE element team.
- Actively involved in ensuring a safe workplace for team members. Actively seeks ways to ensure a safe work environment.

Education/Certification
- High school graduate or GED
- U.S. Citizenship required due to government contracts
- A/P or Powerplant or Repairman Certificate qualified
- 4 plus years technical working experience in aviation, manufacturing, inspection, mechanic or warehouse and 2 plus years leadership experience
