Position Summary:
Our busy Adult Medicine office in Price, Utah is in need of a full time MA/CNA to take lead of all back office responsibilities and occasionally help with reception duties.


Essential Job Functions:

  • Facilitate quality patient care under supervision of the physician.
  • Verify patient information by interviewing patient; recording medical history; confirming purpose of visit, reconciling medication lists.
  • Prepare patients for examination by performing preliminary physical tests.
  • Secure patient information and maintain patient confidence by completing and safeguarding medical records; completing diagnostic coding and procedure coding; keeping patient information confidential.
  • Help with office procedures and injections as requested.
  • Triages phone messages from patients.
  • Review messages with physician and respond as directed in a prompt and courteous manner.
  • Communicate test and lab results and transmits other information from provider to patient.
  • Answer questions as appropriate.
  • Schedule referrals and follow-ups as needed; submit prescriptions per provider instructions.
  • Work with insurance companies, pharmacies as needed for prior authorizations.
  • Maintain safe, secure, and healthy work environment by establishing and following standards and procedures; complying with legal regulations.
  • Keep exam rooms clean and patient ready.
  • Keep supplies ready by inventorying stock, noting when supplies are needed.
  • Keep equipment operating by following operating instructions; troubleshooting breakdowns; maintaining supplies; performing preventive maintenance.
  • Serve and protect the medical practice by adhering to clinic and professional standards, policies and procedures, federal, state, and local requirements.
  • Maintain CPR certification.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Completion of and certification from an accredited Medical Assistant or CNA program.
  • CPR certification (or completed within 4 months of hiring) Working knowledge of medical terminology
  • Ability to stand and sit for prolonged periods of time.
  • Demonstrate excellent computer, telephone and communication skills.
  • Outstanding customer service, organization and attention to detail.
  • Must be a self-starter, a team player, dependable, friendly, professional and able to work efficiently while remaining calm and productive.
  • Previous medical experience preferred but not required.

Hours: Mon-Thurs 8:00A to 5:30P Fri 8:00A to 12:00P
