Primary Responsibilities:

Quality DME is seeking a talented and motivated Medical Billing Specialist and Customer Service Representative to fulfill a vital role within our Billing Team to help us achieve critical financial goals and ensure the future growth of our company.

Core responsibilities include:

• Submitting insurance claims
• Submitting and working insurance authorizations
• Working insurance claim denials
• Working accounts receivables
• Processing patient invoices/statements and patient payments
• Posting patient and insurance payments
• Assisting patients with billing-related questions or requests

Other responsibilities:

• Fulfillment of special projects as directed by the Billing Manager
• Continuing education of six (6) hours per year, offered by the company
• Sharing your thoughts and ideas on how to improve the Billing Team

Role Requirements:

• Highly organized with an attention to detail
• Cordial and helpful disposition with customer service
• Ability to learn and adapt quickly in a dynamic environment
• Basic knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook)
• Experience or ability to learn EMR systems, cloud-based software, e-fax, etc.
• Adherence to laws and best practices in regards to dealing with patient data
• Proficiency in verbal and written communication in English
• Ability to type at least 40 words per minute at 90%+ accuracy
• High School Degree or equivalent (GED)
