Primary Responsibilities:
Quality DME is seeking a talented and motivated Medical Billing Specialist and Customer Service Representative to fulfill a vital role within our Billing Team to help us achieve critical financial goals and ensure the future growth of our company.
Core responsibilities include:
- Submitting insurance claims
- Submitting and working insurance authorizations
- Working insurance claim denials
- Working accounts receivables
- Processing patient invoices/statements and patient payments
- Posting patient and insurance payments
- Assisting patients with billing-related questions or requests
Other responsibilities:
- Fulfillment of special projects as directed by the Billing Manager
- Continuing education of six (6) hours per year, offered by the company
- Sharing your thoughts and ideas on how to improve the Billing Team
Role Requirements:
- Highly organized with an attention to detail
- Cordial and helpful disposition with customer service
- Ability to learn and adapt quickly in a dynamic environment
- Basic knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook)
- Experience or ability to learn EMR systems, cloud-based software, e-fax, etc.
- Adherence to laws and best practices in regards to dealing with patient data
- Proficiency in verbal and written communication in English
- Ability to type at least 40 words per minute at 90%+ accuracy
- High School Degree or equivalent (GED)
