Description
Fast paced gastroenterology office located in West Knoxville is currently looking for a full-time
Medical Receptionist.
RESPONSIBLE AND ACCOUNTABLE FOR:
- Greet and attend to patients in person and over the phone.
- Professionally assist doctors, staff, visitors, and patients.
- Answer all phone calls in a professional and courteous manner.
- Work through tasks and voicemails.
- Perform all duties within HIPAA regulations.
- Maintain confidentiality of all doctors, staff, and patient information.
- Schedule appointments between doctors and patients.
- Verify insurance.
- Assist physician in patient needs.
- Liaise between medical departments with discretion and professionalism.
- Adhere to policy and procedures during all activates.
- Complete accurate documentation of patient visits.

Hours: Monday - Friday, 8am to 5pm
1-hour lunch break with majority of the time lunch provided by drug reps

Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Experience working in a medical office preferred.
- Working knowledge of medical terminology and medical insurance plans preferred.
- The ability to type and file accurately.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
