Responsibilities:

• Take ownership of compliance reviews, general risk assessments, and other safety assessments to support our EHS program.
• Write, implement, and lead EHS standards, policies, and procedures, including logs, documentation, and associate training.
• Lead the group with the compliance of applicable local and federal laws and regulations.
• Help develop Job Hazard Analysis (JHA).
• Aid and advice on EHS issues to make recommendations to facility leaders.
• Promote incident prevention for the benefit of all employees and visitors and participate in detailed incident investigations and Root Cause Analysis.
• Manage and observe EHS regulations and enforce the proper wearing of all required safety equipment, encourage safe working practices, correct obvious hazards immediately or reports them to team leaders.
• Maintain positive and proactive relationships with managers and employees, as well as our customers and external regulatory agencies, and work with these groups to achieve positive cultural change in the face of potential resistance.
• Follow all TJX Company and EHS procedures and policies.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of4-6 years of proven experience working in an Environmental, Health and Safety position.
• You are willing to be shift-flexible to implement and supervise EHS programs on 1st and sometimes 2nd shift.
• Good understanding of regulatory compliance requirements (i.e. OSHA, EPA, etc.), including company EHS policies and procedures.
• Experience performing facility EHS Inspections.
• College degree preferred but not required, in the field of Science or Occupational Health & Safety.
• Excellent interpersonal communication skills and technical writing skills.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) is considered a plus.
