We are looking for an experienced Merchandise Assistant to join our client's retail team!

In this role you will be responsible for supporting the merchandise team in managing inventory, analyzing sales data, and coordinating with vendors and suppliers. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including merchandising, product development, and sales, to ensure that products are delivered on time and meet customer demand.

Responsibilities:

• Assist the merchandise team in managing inventory levels and tracking product shipments.
• Analyze sales data to identify trends, forecast demand, and make recommendations for future product offerings.
• Communicate with vendors and suppliers to ensure that product shipments are delivered on time and meet quality standards.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure that product development and sales are aligned with inventory levels and customer demand.
• Support the merchandise team in preparing purchase orders, tracking expenses, and managing the overall budget.
• Assist in coordinating product samples, preparing product presentations, and participating in product reviews.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices to ensure that our products are competitive in the marketplace.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Merchandising, Business, or related field.
• 2-3 years of experience as a Merchandise Assistant or related role in the retail industry.
• Experience in managing inventory, analyzing sales data, and coordinating with vendors and suppliers.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to effectively work with cross-functional teams.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
• Familiarity with inventory management systems and software, such as SAP, is a plus.
• Knowledge of product development and retail sales processes.
