Hegira Health, Inc. (HHI), a private non-profit corporation, is one of the largest freestanding behavioral healthcare agencies in the area. HHI, accredited by the Joint Commission and licensed by the State of Michigan, provides a broad array of mental health and substance abuse treatment and prevention services to individuals of all ages.
Our Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic provides behavioral health support and crisis services for Transitional Aged Youth 16-25 years old. The Mobile Crisis Specialist works with a team (i.e., Case Manager, Peer Support Specialist) supporting crisis work for youth. Openings:
- Two Full Time
- One Part Time
Work Schedule: Monday through Friday 8:30 - 5:00.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree minimally, Master's preferred from an accredited college or university, specializing in psychology, social work or a related field
- One year of experience in the behavioral health field preferred, of which six months was spent working with youth with co-occurring disorders
- Knowledge of diagnostics, psychopharmacology, and supportive treatment approaches as applied to a severely mentally ill (SMI) youth
- Working knowledge of community resources
- Possess a valid driver’s license, proof of current automobile insurance and meet the Employer’s minimum driving competency standards
- Posses or obtain at time of hire a State of Michigan Chauffer’s license
Responsibilities:
- Engage with community stakeholders, e.g., AFC providers, community clinic staff, etc. prior to and during the consumer assessment process
- Engage with local police departments to complete follow up referrals within the community with individuals that have been engaged with the local police
- Utilize motivational interviewing and or other engagement/communication tools and techniques to motivate consumers and their family
- Complete initial/intake information/assessment and enter into EHR
- Ensure the development of individual participant Crisis Plans within 24-hours of admission in to the program
- Works with the Peer Support Specialist to ensure that urgent/emergency resources to meet basic needs to facilitate likelihood of a successful outcome: e.g., emergency support, food, shelter, clothing, financial services
- Ensure a comprehensive assessment of each individual needs and wants that includes a documented PCP pre-plan
- Ensure community treatment provider of participants is notified
- Ensure completion of Treatment Plan within 48-hours of admission
- Ensure Treatment Plan problem areas, goals, and objectives address the consumer’s DSM diagnosis, the precipitating event to the crisis and future prevention, and areas identified on the bio-psychosocial assessment
- Ensure the completion of a Treatment Plan Review(s) as clinically indicated and not greater than every 14 days of admission in the service
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $40,000.00 - $48,000.00 per year
