Position Title: Monitoring and Evaluation Assistant

Duty Station: Dublin, Ireland

Type of Appointment: Special Short Term, with possibility of extension.

Context:

IOM opened an office in Ireland in 2001. Ireland became a full member government of IOM in 2002. IOM Ireland provides Assisted Voluntary Return and Reintegration Programmes (AVRR) that are open to migrants (asylum seekers and irregular migrants) from non-EEA countries, who wish to return home voluntarily but do not have the means, including the necessary documentation, to do so. Programme activities additionally include the following areas of migration management: Resettlement, Family Reunification and Counter-Trafficking.

Under the overall supervision of the Chief of Mission (CoM) in Dublin and direct supervision of the Senior Project Coordinator the successful candidate will be responsible for the support requirements of the project supporting Beneficiaries of Temporary Protection (BOTP’S) in Ireland.

Core Functions / Responsibilities:

  • Support the development and implementation of the monitoring framework of the project aiming to support BOTP’s in Ireland.
  • Analyse the reporting requirements of the donor to ensure information is being collected accurately.
  • Compile, summarize and present the necessary information for the team and for internal and external reports for IOM, donors and other stakeholders.
  • Draft status reports to support effective implementation of the project.
  • Support the administrative requirements of the project, coordinating closely with the regional teams to maintain the day-to-day activities and operations on the ground in line with the project SOP’s.
  • Maintain and ensure confidentiality of all projects related matters in accordance with guidelines and instructions. Take active steps to. mitigate fraud and malfeasance, and to monitor the integrity of records containing individual data.
  • Perform any other duties as may be assigned.

Required Qualifications and Experience

Education

  • School diploma with four years relevant professional experience or;
  • University degree in Business Administration, Social Science or a related field from an accredited academic institution with two years of relevant professional experience

Experience

  • Proven experience in a similar setting & capacity. Demonstrated ability to maintain accuracy & confidentiality in performing responsibilities.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, PowerPoint, Good knowledge of information technology and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications especially Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Publisher.
  • Previous work experience in an international organization, non-governmental organisation would be an advantage.

Skills

  • Knowledge of monitoring and evaluation tools and protocols.
  • Strong interpersonal & intercultural skills with an attention to detail.

Languages

  • Fluency in English is required
  • Any other IOM official language is an advantage
