Position Summary:
Join the hard working, fun loving team at the University of Alaska Museum of the North.The UA Museum of the North seeks outgoing customer service and sales oriented people for the summer season, May through September, seven days a week, 9 AM to 7 PM. Competitive salary and a fun and fast-paced work environment. Willing to train if you're new to the workforce!Duties:
The Visitor Services department is looking for a few great people to join this fast paced, customer service focused team. Imagine chatting with visitors from all over the world in one of the most beautiful settings in Fairbanks! This customer service position focuses on making guests feel welcome and helping them enjoy their visit to the museum. We are looking for friendly energetic individuals that are committed to providing excellent assistance to visitors. Cash handling and prior tourism experience preferred. A background in retail sales is helpful but not necessary.
Must be willing to work between the hours of 9 a.m. and 7 p.m., with shifts available every day of the week. May be asked to work a varied schedule. May be required to work additional hours as special events require. Salary is competitive and dependent upon experience.

Prior experience working in the visitor industry in Alaska is strongly preferred.
This is a temporary position without benefits. Rate of pay depends on experience, minimum $15.25/hour.
