Comprehensive Sleep Medicine Associates a Neurology, Sleep Medicine, and Epilepsy clinic is looking for a people person and reliable Front Office Medical Specialist in our Austin office. The successful candidate will support clinic operations in delivering patient care. We are looking for a team player who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys working independently and directly with people.

The successful candidate will be entitled to the $1000.00 signing bonus.

Location: 8229 Shoal Creek Blvd. # 101Austin, TX 78757

For the first two weeks, the employee would train in the Sugar Land office. (Hotel accommodation, food per diem, and transportation reimbursement to and from Austin covered by the company)

Responsibilities and Duties

The Front Office Medical Specialist will be responsible for:

  • Coordinating patient care throughout the clinic: schedule and confirm appointments, checking in, collect co-pays and other fees required prior to the office visit or procedure, prepping, escorting patients to clinic rooms, taking vitals, and checking out patients.
  • Calling in prescriptions to pharmacy.
  • Conducting medication prior authorizations.
  • Faxing medical records.
  • Working closely with the provider.
  • Answer inquiries by phone, in person, or by email in a helpful, respectful, and efficient manner.
  • Maintaining the front desk and reception areas.
  • Managing and updating patient records in EHR.
  • Dispensing DME supplies to patients.
  • Ensure exam rooms are stocked appropriately and that they are ready for the next patient.
  • Assist providers when requested.
  • Overseeing and maintaining office and medical supplies, materials, and equipment.
  • Provide patient care with excellent customer service.
  • Perform all other related clinical, and administrative tasks as required.

Education/Licensure/Certifications

· High School Diploma required. Associates preferred.

· 2+ years Medical Administrative/Office Experience.

· Medical Office experience preferred.

· Bi-lingual: Spanish preferred.

· HIPAA certification and BLS training preferred.
