The Colonie Youth Center Inc. is seeking a Teacher Aide(1: 1)to work in a UPK classroom with a special needs child.

Responsibilities: Work with a special needs child in a UPK program. Provide instructional, behavioral, and emotional support services. Communicate effectively with the classroom teacher and other staff.

Work Schedule: Monday – Friday from 9am – 3pm. This is a temporary position until the last day of school in June 2023. The position starts as soon as possible.

If interested in returning in September, 2023, there are other opportunities that may be available.

Requirements:

• High school or equivalent (required)
• Special education experience: 1 year (preferred)
• Childcare experience: 1 year (preferred)
• Experience working with a special needs child in a classroom or UPK program preferred Must be flexible, responsible, and dependable.

Job Types: Full-time, Temporary

Pay: $16.00 per hour

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday
• No weekends

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Latham, NY 12110: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
