What does being a GoStudent tutor look like?

• Flat fee of £13 per 50-minute session (additional loyalty and frequency bonuses too)

What do you need to be a GoStudent tutor?

• You love to teach! You enjoy passing on your knowledge to other people and do so in a motivated, enthusiastic and interactive way
• A strong set up including a stable internet connection, a computer and clear camera or microphone
• Good communication: you are professional and serious in dealing with people and can express yourself in English without any problems
• A UK or Irish bank account under your own name.
• Aged over 18 years and can work in a self-employed capacity
• Willing to either provide a valid PVG or Enhanced DBS check or apply for an Enhanced DBS through GoStudent
• **Required** You need to have a strong knowledge of the Scottish curriculum. If you do not have this then please see our other adverts, as we have other tutoring opportunities!
• Desired: experience tutoring online, working with platforms such as Zoom and Google Drive
• Bonus: you would like to teach maths and are comfortable teaching levels up to, and including, A level

Tasks

• Professional and organised supervision of own students
• Preparing lesson plans
• Teaching and supporting students
• Preparation and follow-up of teaching materials
• Giving feedback after each session
• Independent organisation of tutoring appointments
