"Job Title: Operating Room Registered Nurse in Scottsbluff, Nebraska
Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Operating Room RN with Ortho Trauma and Neuro Trauma experience to join our team in Scottsbluff, NE. As an Operating Room RN, you will be responsible for providing safe, effective, and efficient care to patients in the operating room. This includes preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative patient care, as well as circulating and scrubbing for a variety of surgical procedures.
Essential Functions:
Utilize the nursing process to provide comprehensive care to patients in the operating room
Circulate and/or scrub for a variety of surgical procedures, including Ortho Trauma and Neuro Trauma cases
Communicate effectively with the surgical team to ensure safe and efficient patient care
Assist with positioning, prepping, and draping of patients for surgical procedures
Administer medications and other treatments as prescribed by the physician
Monitor patients' vital signs and response to treatments, and report any changes to the physician
Provide emotional support to patients and their families throughout the surgical experience
Additional Responsibilities:
Participate in ongoing education and training to maintain and improve clinical skills
Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures, including those related to safety and infection control
Qualifications:
Must have a minimum of 2 years of recent Operating Room experience, with Ortho Trauma and Neuro Trauma experience required
Must be available for weekend and weekday call, with 4 x 10s and on-call every 4-5th weekend and 1 week night per week
Must have a current RN license in the state of Nebraska
Must have current BLS and ACLS certifications
TNCC and PALS certifications preferred
