NOW HIRING A TRANSPORTATION COORDINATOR IN DALLAS, TX

Formosa Foods is a fast growing food service distributor that services Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas and Louisiana. Established in 1979, this family owned and operated business distributes full line products to restaurants, markets and wholesalers.

We have an outstanding career opportunity for a driven, successful transportation coordinator with at least 3 years of responsibility in the distribution/transportation fields. Successful candidates will handle the daily duty of fleet and driver’s coordinator.

Daily responsibilities

• Reviewing drivers’ paperwork to ensure it is complete, accurate and legible
• Working effectively with warehouse personnel for trucking loading and stacking
• Enhancing communication between all departments including but not limited to maintenance, safety, sales, customer service, accounting and leadership
• Understanding and enforcing SOP’s of the company
• Driver safety and enforcement of DOT regulations (OSHA, ELD, and FMCSA)
• Fleet maintenance and driver performance management
• Driver equipment inspection and supervision
• Scheduling of drivers and routes weekly
• Geotab ELD is a plus

Job Requirements

• Bilingual in Spanish and English.
• Able to multitask and very organized.
• Excellent interpersonal communication, leadership, and customer service skills.
• The ability to make decisions, problem solve, prioritize assignments, and direct the workforce in an ever-changing, distribution environment.
• Intermediate computer experience.
• Ability to work independently with little supervision and in a team environment.
• Excellent aptitude in estimating rates and adding and subtracting mentally while constantly multi-tasking.
• Must meet hiring eligibility requirements including background investigation and drug screen.

Working Conditions: Requires ability to work until job is completed. Physical requirements include walking, stooping, lifting up to 75 lbs. and standing for extended periods of time. Environment can change from ambient to freezing at times. Pay: $50,000.00 - $59,000.00 per year
