Job Description Summary:
Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out complex assignments and activities, collaborating at all levels throughout the client agency while frequently reporting to the Section Chief on progress and accomplishments.
  • Help develop processes used for internal and external planning, coordination within and external to the organization, and partner management.
  • Coordinate with colleagues and internal partners to ensure all parties are aligned on actions and expectations.

Required Skills:
  • 8+ years of experience providing operational support to a government program and using that experience to develop procedures
  • Experience supporting a government agency in an onsite or hybrid position
  • Experience working across government and other organizations to meet goals and objectives and the organization
  • Experience with cybersecurity concepts, policies, and procedures
  • Expertise in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Project
  • U.S. Citizenship required (required by federal government for position)
  • Active TS/SCI clearance required

Desired Skills:
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Experience supporting DHS programs or initiatives
  • Strong technical writing skills
  • Demonstrated customer service orientation with strong leadership, interpersonal, organizational, problem-solving, and strategic thinking skills

  • Bachelor’s degree and six (6) years or related experience, or Associates degree and eight (8) years or related experience, or ten (10) years of related IT experience
  • Government IT experience is highly desired
  • A Certification in Cyber Security (e.g., CISSP, CISA, CISM or SANs Program certifications) is highly desired
  • Understanding of information technology and telecommunications systems; working knowledge of network interoperability, cybersecurity, and survivability issues, including cybersecurity best practices and standards
  • Strong understanding of enterprise IT, including networking infrastructure, systems administration, data centers, and software applications and the development life cycle
  • In depth knowledge of NIST and Federal Information Processing Standards (FIPS) to include NIST 800-37, FIPS 199, and 200
  • Reasoning and problem-solving skills
  • Work independently with limited supervision as a member of a cooperative team
  • Work in a matrix organizational structure and distributed team environment
  • Recognize and deal appropriately with confidential and sensitive information
  • Ability to implement project plans and document progress of assigned tasks
  • Ability to prepare and deliver presentations to technical and non-technical audiences
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to build trusted advisor relationships with clients
  • Experience supporting sales and business development
  • Experience with financial management
