OBJECTIVE: Responsible for processing ACH transactions and Wire Transfers in a timely and accurate manner while providing Fanatic Customer Service to customers and internal staff.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTION

  • Process and settle daily ACH Origination and Incoming files in accordance with established procedure and regulatory compliance.
  • Review and process ACH exceptions, returns and stop payments.
  • Notify ACH Originators of ACH returns and notices of change.
  • Responsible for the timely processing of unauthorized ACH disputes according to error resolution procedures as outlined in Regulation E.
  • Review and process ACH death notifications and US Treasury reclamations within the stated timeframes.
  • Responsible for the daily monitoring and oversight of wire transfers, including but not limited to: entering, approving, reviewing and releasing all incoming and outgoing wires for consumer and business customers in accordance with established procedure and regulatory compliance.
  • Develop and maintain working procedures for the processing of ACH and wire transfer transactions to allow for cross training and back up processing in the department.
  • Handle all customer service issues, questions, troubleshooting, and/or other related matters pertaining to ACH and wire transfer.
  • Complete tracking spreadsheets and reconcilements accurately and timely.
  • Utilize independent judgment in resolving issues and escalate to management as necessary.
  • Work with all areas of the Bank; including but not limited to: Customer Service, Deposit Operations, Retail, Treasury Management Sales and Treasury Management Operations.
  • Responsible for timely and accurate daily, weekly and monthly tracking and reporting to be viewed by all levels of management.
  • Attend training classes and seminars related to job enhancement.
  • Compliance with all regulatory requirements such as, but not limited to: BSA/AML, GLB/Privacy, Ethics for Bankers, and Pretext Calling and Identity Theft. Completion of Compliance Training to ensure understanding of these requirements, as outlined in the Bank’s core curriculum and this positions specific curriculum on Republic Bank University.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS

Education and Experience: High School diploma or equivalent required. Associates or Bachelor’s degree preferred. Two to four years of Banking experience required. Knowledge of ACH and/or wire transfers preferred. Experience may override the education requirements.

  • Traditional office environment with no unusual work conditions
  • Ability to work from home when needed
