Position Purpose:

  • The Operations Manager’s primary purpose is to maintain high department performance; thereby, ensuring high customer satisfaction, high employee morale and retention, and maximized profitability;
  • To supervise, motivate and assist technician staff. Essential functions include billing out work performed on Repair Orders, dispatching work to technicians, monitoring of shop productivity, assist technicians with repairs as needed, follow-up with work/repair progress, coordinate parts orders with parts department, etc.
  • Communicate and liaise among the Company’s leadership/employees, customers, and affiliates. Uphold company standards of quality and safety.

Essential Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Review work orders, estimates and invoices
  • Maintain company and subordinates’ efficiencies
  • Ensure compliance with employee, customer, and visitor safety standards
  • Interview, hire and train employees, as needed
  • Answer emails, telephone calls, and other forms of communication effectively and with a sense of urgency
  • Serve as an on-call Manager, as needed
  • Other duties/responsibilities, as assigned
  • Assist, guide, and train other technicians with trailer repairs (reefer a plus).
  • Work in accordance with all federal/ provincial and corporate compliance guidelines (i.e., safety, DOT, MOT).
  • Perform proper safety protocols and procedures, including use of protective equipment, and maintain a safe work area in accordance with company policy.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:

Qualification Requirements:

  • 5+ years of structural and mechanical trailer repair experience
  • Resume must be uploaded, and online assessment completed for immediate consideration.
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship and be a current resident.
  • High school Diploma or GED
  • Must have a valid driver's license
  • Ability to follow and ensure safety standards and recognize hazards to insure personal and communal/public safety
  • Must pass pre-employment testing to include background checks, MVR, and drug screen.
