Job description

The OSP Field Technician functions in a technician capacity, working primarily in the field, to gather data for engineering and design of aerial and underground fiber/CATV facilities.

Seeking a candidate with the ability to follow GPS coordinates to specific location, take pictures of permit path, upload photos, and coordinate with management about prioritizing jobs.

Candidate must be able to multi-task, work in a fast paced environment, be a team player, and have a safe driving record and reliable transportation to visit job sites. This position will require out of town work on a regular basis.

Extensive Travel for this position is required.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Field Duties (80- 90% of work time):

Must be able to travel up to 14 day stretches (Hotel, Per Diem & Mileage Included if using personal vehicle)

Operate and maintain field equipment and tools

Collect and record existing field measurements for underground and aerial utilities.

Communicate effectively on a daily basis with project manager

Conduct due diligence for multiple projects prior to field work

QUALIFICATIONS:

Must have a labor intensive attitude and be capable of being on your feet throughout the day

Skilled at managing all assigned task with little supervision

Well-developed decision-making, analytical, and problem solving skills.

Excellent oral/written communication skills, strong organizational skills, high level of integrity, and strong team player

Ability to work under severe time constraints and produce at a high level

Proven track record and reputation for being a gracious, flexible quick learner and accurate worker with a high attention to detail and follow-up

Represent the company in a professional manner at all times

Comfortable working in an outdoor environment in all types of weather

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time:

Pay: From $18.00 - $22.00 per hour - depending on level of experience
