Outdoor Recreation Specialists

Skyterra Wellness, an award-winning wellness retreat located in Brevard, NC, is seeking contracted guides to support the outdoor recreation guiding needs of our wellness retreat and accompanying programs. Responsibilities:

• Under direction of the program director, plan and execute a wide variety of guided outdoor recreation experiences for our guests. (hikes, kayaking, biking, river floats, etc.)
• Lead 1-2 afternoon or morning experiences for our guests on Fridays & Saturdays.
• Opportunity to develop and execute other unique experiences for our guests.

Qualifications:

• Must have experience with Pisgah Ranger-District hikes.
• Year-round, on-campus position at our Brevard, N.C. location.
• BA/BS degree or equivalent work experience
• Active and well-rounded experience in WNC outdoor recreation, guiding experience preferred.
• Basic first aid/CPR, wilderness first aid preferred.
• Experience with Google Workspace.
• Valid license without insurance restrictions/issues.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour

Schedule:

• Day shift
• Weekend availability

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Pisgah Forest, NC 28768: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

Experience:

• Pisgah Ranger District Hiking: 1 year (Required)
