Job description
Description:
The main function of this position is to build custom orders of food products onto a pallet. Each pallet has to be packaged correctly and well organized in order to prevent the products from falling apart. Once the custom pallet gets built it is moved to the loading dock where the order is later shipped. This position reports to the Supervisor and/or Shipping Clerk.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Check quality of products/materials before building pallet.
- Check inventories
- Put tags on pallets
- Report quality and conditions of products/materials to Supervisors.
- Use manual pallet jack to move products/materials.
- Maintain his/her working area clean
- May be asked to do other duties if needed
Qualifications and Skills:
- Physical- This individual must be able to lift up to 50 pounds. Also needs to be able to bend, reach and lift over his/her head. Will be required to stand for long periods of time and work the night shift.
- Education/Experience- Must be able to use forklift and pallet jack. Must be able to perform basic math skills such as adding and subtracting.
