Job description
Prepare and paint interior and exterior building surfaces and fixtures. This position will Interact on a consistent basis with Area Maintenance staff, building contact personnel, vendors and suppliers, and environmental health and safety personel. This position typically will advise and counsel: NA. This position will supervise: :NA
Responsibilities
Job Duty 1 -
Finish drywall and prepare surfaces for finish.
Job Duty 2 -
Clean, patch and repair plaster walls and ceilings prior to painting.
Job Duty 3 -
Move furniture, equipment, fixtures, etc. as needed to provide a free work area.
Job Duty 4 -
Color match and mix paint; track and maintain paint code records.
Job Duty 5 -
Apply paint to surfaces using brush, roller or spray gun.
Job Duty 6 -
Maintain a neat and clean work area during job and perform clean-up at job completion.
Job Duty 7 -
Perform other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
Educational Requirements
High school diploma, GED Certificate or Vocational School Diploma
Required Experience
One to three years of job related experience
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
SKILLS
This job requires working knowledge and skill in use of painting tools and equipment, paint mixing and matching and commercial and industrial painting processes and practices.
