    Job Summary: Substitute in various Paraeducator positions throughout the district. Attached are the Level A and Level B Elementary and Secondary job descriptions as a guideline for substituting as a Paraeducator.
    Pay Rates: Classified substitutes are compensated at the base pay rate for the position they are subbing in.
    • $22.21 per hour for Paraeducator Level A positions (per 2022-2023 PSE salary schedule)
    • $23.46 per hour for Paraeducator Level B positions (per 2022-2023 PSE salary schedule)

    Qualifications:
    • Be at least eighteen years of age and hold a high school diploma or its equivalent, and meet one (1) of the following:
      • Have received a qualifying score on the Education Testing Service (ETS) paraeducator assessment (https://www.ets.org/parapro)
      • Hold an associate degree or higher from an accredited college or university
      • Have earned 72 quarter credits or 48 semester credits at the 100 level or higher at an accredited college or university
    • Upon hire, must complete the Fundamental Course of Study (FCS)-Paraeducator Certificate.
    • Ability to meet the qualifications as listed on the job description for this position.

    Schedule: Shifts will vary as these are on-call substitute positions.
    Selection Timeline: This position will open and close periodically throughout the school year based on District needs.
