An opportunity as a local Part-Time CDL Driver (Car Hauler) awaits you with Walser Automotive Group. This is a home nightly position with daily local hauls primarily in the Twin Cities/Metro area. Car hauling experience is required to be considered for this position.

Weekly Hours: Monday - Thursday 4pm-9pm, Saturday from 8am-4:30pm (24 hours a week on average)

Base compensation: Starting at $50.00 per hour

Job Duties (Will Include but Not Be Limited To)

• Driving a company-owned truck, you will transport vehicles between vendors, distribution hubs and stores
• Load, transport and off-load Walser vehicles at various locations between our reconditioning facility, our dealerships and various overflow lots.
• Carry out daily equipment inspections to ensure our transport operations run smoothly and safely
• Maintain all necessary DOT logs and documentation
• Be part of the team that's driving improved standards by continuously looking for ways to improve process and improve a safe cycle time
• Keep interior & exterior of tractor clean.
• Lead by example and be an advocate for safe driving, acknowledging safety as a priority in all facet of the job

Minimum Requirements

• Valid state-issued commercial driver's license Class A (CDL)
• Ability to meet DOT-mandated medical qualification requirements and drug screen
• Pass Driver Qualifications as per FMCSR’s (parts 383 and 391391.21)
• Knowledge of loading/unloading of vehicles on an auto transport trailer and roll back is a plus
• Knowledge of winching inoperable vehicles onto a roll back
• Able to lift 40 lbs.
• Proficiency in operating a 10-speed and or automatic transmission
• Able to work outdoors in various weather conditions
• Able to climb ladders, ramps etc.
• Mechanical aptitude preferred, able to perform simple repairs to equipment.
• Must have good communication skills, a positive attitude and a sense of urgency
