RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Oversee the parts sales process from start to finish
- Communicate with staff and customers in a friendly and professional manner
- Converse effectively/efficiently regarding customer parts status
- Read and understand the parts catalog when looking up and speaking to specific parts
- Answer phone calls, provide price quotes and other information to customers
- Handle orders and requests for parts efficiently and accurately
- Answer questions and assist them in identifying and obtaining needed parts
- Ensure parts are charged to repair orders and invoices
- Pull/fill orders from stock and maintain weekly bin checks to ensure accuracy of stock
- Notify parts manager of out-of-stock parts or shop materials that need immediate attention
- Locate out-of-stock parts from outside source and submit an emergency order, if necessary
- Continue knowledge of BMW products and services by training on-the-job and participating in educational and development programs
- Perform other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Automotive background required
- BMW experience preferred
- Must be able to work assigned scheduled hours
- Must be able to work Saturdays
- Prior parts counterperson and/or dealership experience needed
- Car enthusiast or mechanically inclined
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
- Professional appearance and great work ethic are a must
- Excellent customer service skills
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and organize work in a fast-paced work environment
- Computer proficient (Outlook, Word, Excel)
- Knowledge of dealership management systems, ADP/CDK a plus
COMPENSATION:
The Advisor Position has a Pay Scale consisting of the following elements and ranges. Wages include Base Hourly Compensation of between $19.00 and $30.00. The position also may also pay a production bonus based on individual or team performance that may range from $0.00 (if baseline benchmarks are not met) without any fixed upper limit.
Compensation depends on experience, this position pays hourly plus monthly bonus averaging from $300-$1000 based on department gross profit.
