Avera is currently seeking a Patient Access Manager - Patient Facing with experience in the hospital revenue cycle process

Job Summary
- The Patient Access Manager has the overall responsibility, at the system level for all functions related to Patient Access for the Avera acute entities.
- The manager must possess knowledge of federal, state, and local programs when conducting acute site visits.
- The manager develops and implements departmental procedures, tools and techniques to effectively provide quality registrations.
- The manager directs the training and monitoring of registration while incorporating the financial clearance processes to ensure optimal outcomes against appropriate benchmarks while maximizing point of service cash collections and denial reduction.
- The Manager will work with stakeholders to understand complex issues, recognize decision points and design and deliver create solutions while partnering with a wide variety of clinical settings.
- Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, developing, training, and retaining employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Education and/or Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Health Information Management, or a related field is preferred.
- A working knowledge of patient access and front-end revenue cycle coordination is required.
- 3-5 years of extensive experience in the hospital revenue cycle process required.
- Proven experience managing multiple projects effectively is required.
