Come join the Easterseals Family! We have an immediate opening for a Payroll Clerk. This is a 30-hour-per-week position working Monday – Thursday, 9:00-5:00 with a 30-minute lunch. JOB TITLE: Payroll Clerk/Human Resources Assistant

DEPARTMENT: Human Resources

SUPERVISOR: Chief Human Resources Officer

FLSA: Non-Exempt

PURPOSE: To provide support to the Chief Human Resources Officer on all personnel matters; including processing of bi-weekly payroll.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Prepare materials for new hires and onboard new employees.
  • Complete all aspects of internal and external background checks.
  • Assist with benefits administration and enrollment.
  • Maintain employee personnel files and ensure required paperwork is completed.
  • Tracking of annual employee performance evaluations.
  • Maintain HR databases by recording and tracking records including but not limited to, employee trainings, licensure, equipment usage, contact information.
  • Oversee processing and maintenance of payroll function within department.
  • Complete all processes of payroll administration including:
  • Exempt Employee Benefit Report distribution
  • Payroll maintenance
  • Data input
  • Reconciliation and submission
  • Provide Human Resources support to Easterseals staff.
  • Assist with tasks in Fiscal Department.
  • Back-up for billing process during absence of Revenue Cycle Manager.
  • Perform other duties as directed by Supervisor.

EXPERIENCES:

  • High School Diploma
  • Minimum of two years’ experience processing payroll
  • Human Resources background preferred
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office software applications
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience processing payroll
  • Experience with ADP or Paycor is a plus

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • May be required to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds.
  • Frequently requires sitting, standing, walking, bending, squatting, kneeling, and reaching.
  • Ability to use a keyboard and video display terminal to receive, retrieve and/or audit information and data frequently throughout each day.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
