KNOW THE ROLE

Our People Department is looking for a HR Intern who will play a key role in supporting the delivery of the Christmas Programme Plan for Brown Thomas Arnotts.
You will undertake a wide range of HR & Recruitment administration and coordination tasks during this 12-week programme, learning key components of the employee cycle from candidate attraction, recruitment, onboarding and induction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prescreen CV’s / applications and engage candidates as part of the recruitment process.
  • Ensure all information is correctly documented and stored in our Applicant Tracking System, Taleo.
  • Coordinate and maintain all candidate interview scheduling, organize interview debriefs and gather feedback.
  • Collaborate with People Generalist to support the coordination of business stakeholder’s feedback and engagement in interviewing scheduling.
  • Provide a best in class customer service to our candidates and internal stakeholders by creating a seamless candidate experience.
  • Partner closely with People Generalist to ensure that all new hires follow correct processes and are managed effectively.
  • Support with induction training records by ensuring calendar, session coordination, folders and tracking are up to date.
  • Provide advisory support to team members on all aspects of the Employee Lifecycle & ensuring smooth transition into Brown Thomas Arnotts.
  • Assist in maintaining the Core HR System to ensure all data is accurate and up to date.
  • Administration of team member digital files for own buy, concession and cosmetic starters, ensuring all relevant paperwork.
  • Ensure all duties are carried out in line with best practice and according to internal audit guidelines.
  • Ensure all activities are linked to the People strategy and in line with business Vision and Mission.

Experience
  • HR related studies with a passion for the profession
  • Proactive and eager to learn
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Organised with good time management skills
  • Adaptable and flexible, can juggle different tasks and priorities
Technical Skills
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office, in particular Excel
  • Excellent attention to detail and consistent standards when dealing with high volumes of data and administration.
Personal Attributes/ Behavioural Skills
  • A role model of the Brown Thomas Arnotts People Values with a keen interest in HR best practice and innovation, always looking for the next opportunity to enhance the reputation and distinctiveness of our brand.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills (written and verbal) and can work under pressure, identifying and escalating issues appropriately.
