Job description

Kett Engineering is looking for a Performance Driver for our customer at a test facility in East Liberty, Ohio. The driver will set up, conduct, and assist in the analysis of a vehicle test to ensure data is meeting design specifications established by customers and assist engineers in determining the practicality of proposed product design changes and carry out tests for performance, durability, or efficiency.

This project runs May - November. The pay rate is $20/hr.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Use and review RevData Plus
• Use data and customer based Excel formulas
• Perform manual trigger stops
• Diagnosis of instrumentation issues such as torque wheels, dump valves, DC Tachs, etc.
• Proper usage of rubbing/embedded TC's
• Shakedown new procedures on test vehicles
• Knowledge of different configuration files and how they function
• Basic performance tests like pedal feel, decel cold, and multiple NVH procedures

REQUIREMENTS:

• High School Diploma or GED with technical curriculum with 3 years relevant work experience in an automotive or component testing or performance Test Driver or proven experience in the above job duties equivalent related work experience.
• Associate of Science in Engineering Technology or a related field; Preferred
• Understanding of basic and analog temperature controls
• Understand where different data averaging comes from and reasoning
• Ability to work overtime, nights, weekends (as needed)
• Will involve Hands-on work with tools and test equipment
• Basic Computer skills
• Ability to drive a Class 8 truck

Job Types: Part-time, Contract, Temporary

Pay: $20.00 per hour
