Our Operations Director takes the lead for both of our facilities on daily operations, customer service, and staying focused on our mission, goals and continued improvement. They interact with clients, staff and the CEO and make sure the dogs in our care have a blast every day, while maintaining safety as our first priority.

Objectives:

- Manage the daily operations of our Northlake and Southpark facilities, including fostering client and staff relations, driving financial results, ensuring facility maintenance is sustained, and developing our leadership team

- Work with the CEO to design, develop and implement policies, procedures and goals and hold staff and leadership team accountable for achievement

- Anticipate staffing needs by creating a leadership succession model and identifying and promoting talent from within and outside of the company

- Adhere to company, local, state and federal rules and regulations, ensure compliance at both facilities, and take corrective action steps as indicated

- In coordination with the CEO, continually review and revise daily operations to promote increased profitability, staff retention, and our reputation as the leading pet care provider in our area

Our Operations Director is responsible for running the day to day operations of our Northlake and Southpark facilities, while maintaining our high standards of safety and customer service. The Operations Director works closely with the CEO to continually monitor and adjust processes, procedures and goals to ensure ongoing improvement in our company’s service and experience delivery. Candidates for this role must be able to lead a dynamic team, while exemplifying our company values and acting as a mentor to those around them. Previous experience managing 1+ locations of a pet resort, veterinary practice, or other service industry establishment is required.

This role requires exceptional attention to detail, and experience with Microsoft Office is required. Working knowledge of the Gingr pet care software and Quickbooks is preferred. We have a zero-tolerance policy for mistreatment of animals, and our Operations Director is expected to handle dogs in a gentle manner, without force or punishment of any kind. We expect our Operations Director to lead with a positive attitude, and hold themselves and other team members accountable to our company mission. This leader will be committed to providing a safe and fun environment for both the dogs in our care and for our staff. The Operations Director is responsible for supervising General Managers, Assistant Managers, Groomers, Trainers, and Kennel Attendants, and reports directly to the CEO. Daily schedule is expected to flex due to business needs.

Minimum Requirements:

- Associate’s Degree or equivalent from an accredited institution

- Previous management experience of a pet resort, veterinary practice, or service industry business

- Ability to read & interpret financial reports, manage payroll & inventory, motivate and engage staff

- 18+ years of age

- Available to work weekdays, weekends, mornings, evenings, and holidays

- Comfortable handling all breeds, sizes and ages of dogs

- Able to lift 50+ lbs and keep up with a fast-paced work environment

- Able to work 8+ hour shifts while being on your feet, including standing, walking and climbing stairs frequently

- Must have excellent dog handling skills and be able to handle dogs of any sizes on leash

- Team player who is able to work well in a group and lead by example

- Reliable transportation to get to/from work

- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Powerpoint)

- Strong knowledge of local, state, national, and industry regulations and best practices

- Excellent oral & written communication skills

- Ability to multi task, prioritize projects and tasks, and maintain working relationships with external vendors and internal stakeholders

Preferred Skills & Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent from an accredited institution

- Proficient with Gingr pet care software and Quickbooks accounting software

- Proven success in streamlining and optimizing company operations and achievement of short-term and long-term goals
