George’s Pharmacy is a family owned and operated business dedicated to providing home medical equipment, prescription medication, respiratory services, insurance, and home modification solutions throughout Indiana and into Ohio and Kentucky. Pharmacist will work at our Brookville, IN location. Travel to Connersville, IN and Batesville, IN stores will be required at necessary. Store Hours 8am - 6pm M-F Every other Saturday 8am - 2pm. Salary will be based on knowledge and experience.
Responsibilities:
- Execute day to day operation in pharmacy
- Check for completeness and accuracy of all new and refill orders.
- Check for content and accuracy of all drug packaging and labeling.
- Assist in the proper ordering, handling ,receiving, documentation and storage of all controlled substances; assist in maintaining a perpetual inventory of schedule II drugs.
- Follow all applicable government regulations including HIPAA.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's of Pharmacy required
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent customer service skills
- Proficient computer skills using pharmaceutical software
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE:
- Three (3) years experience as a pharmacist
- Three (3) years of supervision of staff
- Three (3) year of experience in medical equipment or equivalent experience in the Pharmacy industry
REQUIRED LICENSE/CERTIFICATION:
State of Indiana Pharmacy License
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- 1. Standing and walking throughout facility
- 2. Operation of office equipment
- 3. Occasionally lift/move items up to 40 pounds
- 4. Visual abilities to include reading, distance vision and peripheral vision
