Job description

This is a full time job. Monday through Thursday 7:45am-5pm and Friday 7:45am- Noon.

· Provide instruction to patients on how to provide urine, oral, nasal and blood specimens.

· Proper labeling of specimens, completion of requisitions and all other needed information.

· Prepare specimens and requisition forms, including packaging of the specimens into biohazard bags for shipping.

· Responsible for ensuring samples are shipped to lab in the appropriate amount of time and supporting records/manifests are maintained.

· Obtain billing information, including copies of patient insurance cards and demographic information.

· Ensuring the accurate completion of requisitions forms and assisting with all missing information requests when needed.

· Confirming reports are generated by laboratory for specimens processed and facilitating inquiries to laboratory.

· Thorough knowledge of all processes and will act as liaison between clinic and laboratory.
