Physical Therapist , Outpatient - East Jefferson Street
Job description
Responsible for performing physical therapy evaluations, assigning physical therapy diagnoses, developing plans of care, and administering physical therapy treatment upon referral by a physician. Responsible for identifying patients who require referral to or consultation with another healthcare provider and patients who are inappropriate for physical therapy treatment. Responsible for guiding and directing Physical Therapist Assistants. Related responsibilities include compliance with local, state, and federal legal requirements regarding the practice of physical therapy.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
Minimum: Bachelor Degree in Physical Therapy
Preferred: N/A
Registration / Certification / Licensure:
Current PA Physical Therapy license, Healthcare Provider CPR, Act 33/73 Clearances
Experience:
Minimum: Clinical rotation through educational program.
Preferred: One year experience.
Other Requirements:
Comprehensive Crisis Management per policy. Ensures that his or her knowledge of research literature related to practice is current. The physical therapist is also responsible for practicing in accordance with the Code of Ethics established by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania State Board of Physical Therapy and with the Guide for Professional Conduct and other core documents of the American Physical Therapy Association.
