Schedule: Monday, Wednesday and Friday 8am-4pm; Tuesday, Thursday 10am-7pm

Primary Responsibilities:

• Assists physical therapists in providing services that help improve mobility, relieve pain, and prevent or limit permanent physical disabilities of patients in recovery
• Helps physical therapists fulfill patient treatment plan and procedures such as exercises, hot and cold packs, traction and ultrasound
• Records patient responses to treatments and reports outcomes of each treatment to the physical therapist
• Keeps treatment area clean and organized in preparation for each patient’s therapy
• Performs some clerical tasks such as ordering supplies, answering phones and completing paperwork

Required Qualifications:

• High School / GED
• Proven solid communication and relationship building skills for interactions with patients, medical providers, other staff and external sources
• Proven capacity to multitask and excel in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to follow direction from supervising PTs
  

Preferred Qualifications:

• Degree in health care or exercise related field
• Proven excellent understanding of the principles of physical medicine, fitness and proper exercise technique
• 1+ years of experience in outpatient physical therapy

New York Residents Only : The hourly range for New York residents is $16.00 to $23.13.
