Microsoft Power Platform Developer needed to assist the Superintendent of Public Instruction, Assistant Superintendent for Data, Research & Technology, Director of Technology and Systems Development, Cabinet, and agency staff by providing a superior level of experience and knowledge of automation solutions for the VDOE. This includes, but is not limited to developing, implementing, testing and maintaining custom automations using the Microsoft Power Automate and Power Apps.

Qualifications

BS/BA in Computer Science, Information Systems Management, Computer Engineering, or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience

> 5 years of experience in software application development

Advanced knowledge of software tools, platforms, processes required to support the Microsoft suite of tools and/or other package software applications

Advanced knowledge of databases and related tools

Problem-solving skills and proven record of working well in a team environment

Advanced proficiency in analysis, and communication skills (verbal and written) across all organizational levels

Responsibilities

This is the Senior Developer role to serve as a senior technical resource on the team in the implementation of Power Platform solutions

Help establish effective and efficient Content Management and Power Platform operations by implementing Content Management and Power Platform best practices; proactively managing Content Management and Power Platform environments and security; Helps the team in streamlining Content Management and Power Platform processes; and by establishing and maintaining Content Management and Power Platform operating procedures

Implement and assure adherence to task level quality and methodology standards, follow up on open items and track issues

Rapid development and deployment methodologies such as Agile and SCRUM while executing all work

Adoption of DevSecOps and automated delivery through Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipelines

Define and document requirements and develop supportable application solutions to automate business processes

Lead development efforts consisting of multiple developers or multi-thread development projects

Collaborate with end users, business analysts, and systems analysts to determine features, requirements and solution design• Design, document, and enforce architectural and design standards

Gather and drive stakeholder requirements and product vision through the planning, analysis, development, and testing phases

Possess a thorough understanding of the data, sources of data, and relationships of data

Troubleshoot and resolve complex application issues as needed

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $104,041.00 - $110,894.00 per year
