Job description
MOR PPM Inc., seeks Carpenters for a job in Emporia, VA. This is a full time temporary position that does not offer benefits. Must have proper knowledge and experience in operating hand and power tools consistent with remodeling.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- replace and repair walls, floors, roofs, and cabinets.
- build rooms from scratch or refurbish existing rooms.
Experience:
Minimum of 3-years experience with working in a carpentry role.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Use effective verbal and written communication skills. Add, subtract, multiply and divide whole numbers and fractions rapidly and accurately.
- Move in and around confined and cluttered places, and uneven areas. Full range of motion and flexibility.
Physical Requirements/Job Site Requirements:
- Must be able to complete hiring paperwork electronically through DocuSign
- May be required to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds
- Must posses enough strength and stamina to perform the technical duties and essential functions as identified above
- Must be able to move in and around confided spaces and uneven areas
- Must have full range of motion consistent with age
- Must be able to climb and maintain balance ladders
- Must be able to adequately hear and respond to voice commands and alerts from other employees, alarms and other job-related noises
- Visual acuity, depth perception and color discrimination consistent with that required to work at heights and on uneven surfaces
- Safety/Steel toe shoes are required.
